French lawmakers back plans to ease taxes on bitcoin gains

PARIS (Reuters) – The finance fee in France’s decrease space of parliament sponsored plans on Wednesday to ease tax on bitcoin gross sales, bringing it in step with different capital gains tax.
Currently bitcoin gains are taxed at a charge of 36.2 % whilst different varieties of capital gains on different non-real property sources are taxed at a flat 30 %.
The finance fee followed an modification to the 2019 funds invoice that may matter gross sales of crypto-assets like bitcoin to the 30-percent flat charge as neatly.
The modification should be authorized within the ultimate model of the funds invoice through the wider parliament so as to transform legislation.
